Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgn rocked the screen with their first film Zameen (2003). The two were last seen together in the 2012 comedy film Bol Bachchan. Now, they are reuniting for an untitled drama which will be produced by Ajay and will star Abhishek and Ileana D'Cruz in the lead roles. The film will be helmed by Kookie Gulati who was the creative director in Total Dhamaal.

According to a source close to the development, pre-production is already going on. “It is based on real events that took place between 1990 and 2000 and changed India’s financial fabric. Ajay loved the subject and immediately agreed to back it. Ileana has a very strong role in the film but isn’t paired opposite Abhishek. The team is on the lookout for an actress to be paired with him. The film will go on the floors by the year-end,” the source revealed.

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn was last seen in De De Pyaar De. Helmed by Akiv Ali, the film also stars Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh. It also featured Alok Nath and Jaaved Jaaferi in major roles. Currently, he is busy shooting Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, which also stars Kajol and Saif Ali Khan. The film is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare who was a military leader in the army of Chhatrapati Shivaji. On the other hand, Abhishek will be seen in Anurag Basu's next film.
