Is Akshay Kumar a part of Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2? Director Anees Bazmee clears the air
Filmmaker Anees Bazmee, who is working on the much-talked-about Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in the lead, has cleared the air about Akshay Kumar’s cameo in the movie.
It hasn’t been long when filmmaker Anees Bazmee created a buzz in the town after he announced the second installment of Akshay Kumar’s 2007 release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The sequel will star Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in the lead. In fact, the makers also released first look posters of the movie lately wherein Kartik was seen stepping into Akshay’s shoes for the movie. While the fans are excited about the movie, there were reports that the Mission Mangal star will be having a cameo in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
The media reports had also suggested that Akshay will be reprising his role as Dr. Aditya Srivastava in the movie. Indeed, this got the fans more thrilled about the second installment of the horror-comedy. However, much to everyone’s disappointment, Akshay isn’t a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The news was confirmed by Anees lately. “No, Akshay Kumar doesn’t have a cameo; this is a different film with a different cast,” the filmmaker was quoted saying to Mumbai Mirror. He further asserted that he feels that nobody can replace Akshay in the franchise.
Meanwhile, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has hit the floors early this month. According to media reports, the first schedule of the movie has been shot in Mumbai with Kartik. On the other hand, Kiara will be joining the team in the second schedule which will kick off early next year.
As of now, director Anees Bazmee is looking forward to the release of his upcoming directorial Pagalpanti which happens to be a multi-starrer comedy. Starring Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Arshad Warsi, Kriti Kharbanda, Ileana D’Cruz, Pulkit Samrat, Urvashi Rautela and Saurabh Shukla in key roles, the movie is slated to hit the theatres on November 22, 2019.
