Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, daughter Nitara and mother were papped in the city yesterday as the family headed to the theaters to watch Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala. Prior to heading out to watch the film, Akshay Kumar took to twitter to express a sense of excitement to watch the film as he wrote, “This Bala is heading out to watch the newest #Bala, @ayushmannk ! Congratulations hearing great things about the movie.”

Post the film, this Khiladi made sure to take to social media to congratulate Ayushmann Khurrana for the film and gleefully pass on the baton of the original Bala to Ayushmann as he wrote, “Just finished watching the film and with all due respect I’d want to pass on the crown You guys have a winner!” Post that, Ayushmann replied to Akshay Kumar and thanked him as he wrote, “As soon as Akshay tweeted that he's going to watch Bala, Ayushmann was over the moon and he replied to AK as he wrote, “Akshay paaji thanks for being an inspiration. Hail the real king #Bala thank you!” As soon as Akshay Kumar kick-started the Bala challenge for his film Housefull 4, Ayushmann Khurrana was the first actor to take up the challenge as he recreated the hook step of the song on social media in his ‘Bala’ look.

Talking about Bala, Ayushmann Khurrana’s film revolves around pre-mature balding and is based on the sort of humiliation that a bald guy is subjected to in the society. Besides Ayushmann, the film also stars Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar. Talking about the films box office collection, Bala has so far earned Rs 25.88 crore and needless to say, with the rave reviews pouring in for the film, we are sure the film will soon cross the 100 crore mark. Besides Bala, Ayushmann will be seen in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Gulabo Sitabo, and others.
