The much-awaited Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Mangal's teaser was released yesterday. Fans are very excited and are looking forward to watch this film which is the first one to showcase India's first interplanetary expedition. The star-studded movie has raised the bar in Bollywood. Akshay will be seen playing the role of a senior scientist in the film based on Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) scientists who worked on the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM). The actor had earlier revealed that he has done this film especially for his daughter as he wants her to know this story.
Akshay Kumar had said in a statement that he gets inspired when a film like is made. He had said that its a brilliant story, which is inspired by a real incident. He also mentioned that few people knew about NASA sending a satellite to Mars and how they spent close to Rs. 6000 crore and ISRO did it in only Rs. 450 crore. He was surprised by the difference, and hence wanted this story to be told. Akshay further added that it is the work of 17 engineers and scientists at ISRO and as he heard real stories of female scientists, he found it amazing how they managed their homes as they were so incredible at work. Through this film, he wants to tell them that they are great. Kumar believes that this movie belongs to the five actresses in it from Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha to Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen. He said this film belongs to them.
Mission Mangal will hit the theatres on August 15, 2019. Apart from Akshay Kumar, it also features Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi. Directed by R Balki, the audience will be thrilled to watch this multi-starrer film.

Casting akshay was so unnecessary. The five ladies and good story would have helped the film enough. Casting a star means the star has to been given extra attention and screentime... Which kind of takes away from all the other CHARACTERS in the story.
