Akhshay Kumar's most interesting project of 2019 is undoubtedly Kesari: The Untold Story. The 'Padman' actor recently shared a poster of the film on his social media account and the film looks fierce and compelling. Akshay, who is playing the role of a Sikh soldier, looks convincing. And the teaser of the film which was released just yesterday has already created a buzz around the film. Gauging the reactions on social media, Akshay's fans are definitely looking forward to this film which is slated to release in March 2019. 

Talking about the relevance of the title Kesari, an insider stated that the the colour Kesari originally symbolises courage, bravery and sacrifice. In the film, Kesari is the colour of the turbans worn by the 21 Sikh soldiers who fought back ferociously to save and protect the forts Gullistan and Lockhart, Saragarhi. 

Akshay Kumar's dialogue, "Aaj meri pagdi bhi Kesari, jo bahega mera lahoo bhi Kesari aur mera jawab bhi Kesari" from the film rightly talks about how fearlessly the battle was fought.The film which also stars Parineeti Chopra is bringing the untold story of the bravest battle fought in the Indian history - Battle of Saragarhi to the big screen. 

 

 

Talking about his experience of filming Kesari, Akshay had earlier said, "Am wearing the heaviest turban and beard I’ve ever had to wear. So I shaved my head to make my life a little easier. Kesari is quite demanding. It’s probably my favourite look, though it’s taxing to fight and sweat in this avatar. But I wouldn’t change it for the world.” The film is slated to release on March 21, 2019.
