Some Bollywood movies have become franchisees which the audiences look forward to them. One of those franchises is Hera Pheri. The first part of Hera Pheri starred Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal in the lead and was directed by Priyadarshan. The second part starred all three actors along with Bipasha Basu and was helmed by Neeraj Vora. A while back, reports started coming in that the third part was underway and will be helmed by Total Dhamaal maker Indra Kumar.

As per reports, the cast for Hera Pheri 3 would include Akshay Kumar as well. However, contrary to any reports of the third part of the comedy film, Akshay Kumar is yet to be signed on for the project. As per a report by DNA, Akshay already has his hands full this year with back to back films like Kesari, Mission Mangal, Housefull 4 and Sooryavanshi and hasn’t been thinking about Hera Pheri 3 at all.

A source revealed to DNA, "Akshay will be seen in Kesari, Housefull 4, the multi-starrer Mission Mangal, Good News and Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi and one film that is being co-produced by Shabina Khan and Tusshar Kapoor. He is also planning his digital debut. But Hera Pheri doesn’t feature on the list of his confirmed assignments."

Helmed by Anurag Singh, Kesari also stars Parineeti Chopra and is being co-produced by Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films. Kesari is slated to hit the screens on March 21, 2019.
