Bollywood's super hit film Dil Chahta Hai will always be one of the most cherished films ever made. This film which revolved around the lives of three best friends and their journey in life, was an endearing story that the fans loved. The actors Akshaye Khanna, Aamir Khan, and Saif Ali Khan made this film a memorable one for the film's audience. Now, Akshaye Khanna has said about the film that the film's sequel titled Dil Chahta Hai 2 must be made only when all the three actors cross the age of 50.

Akshaye Khanna also added that he spoke to Farhan AKhtar about this. The actor said that all the actors must cross 50 years of age and then proceed to making the sequel. This comment from Akshaye Khanna got the fans very excited about the film's highly anticipated sequel. The story of Dil Chahta Hai also showcased a road trip that the three friends undertake. The trio is seen traveling to Goa in the film.

The film portrays how the three characters evolve over a period of time in the film's story line. As per reports, Akshaye Khanna also said that the sequel should be made soon as making it after 10-15 years later would make no sense. Aamir Khan who is 50 plus, fits perfectly in the Dil Chahta Hai's sequel. Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna will be turning 50 soon. Hence the trio can happily get back together to star in the Dil Chahta Hai's sequel. The fans are very excited to hear this and are eagerly looking forward to watch the sequel on the big screen.
