Aladdin trailer: Film promises to be full of action and romance; shows Will Smith in not so blue Genie avatar

The brand new trailer for Disney’s live-action adaptation of Aladdin is officially out. Directed by Guy Ritchie, the film stars Will Smith, Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott in lead roles. A childhood favourite, Disney's Aladdin is all set to release this May 24. Aladdin, which released in 1992, became a classic and looks like this film as well may be a blockbuster in the pipeline. The new trailer is breathtaking and comes across as an exciting tale set against the backdrop of a Middle Eastern city amid the desserts. 

The trailer opens with a chase sequence featuring the charming street rat Aladdin, setting the pace for his next quest as he enters the 'Cave of Wonders'. A thrilling and vibrant live-action, peppy dance sequences and the wit and charm of Will Smith can all be witnessed in the 2 minute 15 seconds long trailer. The film is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. 

A rather note-worthy moment in the trailer was Will Smith's appearance. As opposed to the teaser, Will Smith appears to not don the blue shade at all times in the trailer. Looks like the Genie has an option to not appear tinted when in public or at a royal party. Check out the trailer:

Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, “Aladdin” is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s “Aladdin.” The film stars Will Smith as the Genie; Mena Massoud as Aladdin; Naomi Scott as Jasmine; Marwan Kenzari as Jafar; Navid Negahban as the Sultan; Nasim Pedrad as Dalia and Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders.
