Alia Bhatt reveals Ranbir Kapoor said 'hard work doesn't have to pay off immediately' post Kalank's failure

Alia Bhatt said Ranbir Kapoor's advice to her after Kalank's failure. She says, "He said, you put in the hard work, it doesn't have to pay-off immediately. It'll pay off in your life, someday. That's what it means to be a hardworking actor or a person."

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan featured in Karan Johar's most ambitious project Kalank, and it also co-starrer Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapur in pivotal roles. The movie was shot at a grand scale and despite all the craze about the movie, it did not do well at the box office, and the failure of the film came across as a huge shock to the entire team. Now, as the actress attended the MAMI Movie Mela yesterday, she got talking about how she felt post the movie's failure, and also, Ranbir Kapoor's advice to her.

She revealed how though it is strange, she was okay the day it happened because she had seen the film a day before and in her head, she knew it was going to happen. She further revealed how Ranbir told her that she put her hard work, and it does not have to pay-off immediately but someday in her life, it will. She said how he also told her that this is what it means to be a hardworking actor or a person and that someday the goodness will come to her in another film. She said he also added how she did her job, believed in the film, and she realised how it did not pan out the way she wanted it to, she felt bad for a few days but she understood she should focus on the next now.

To pay off one has to work hard which was not the case in Alia Bhatt.. Kalank was a major flop because she didn't have it in her to play a role of begum..
