Zaira Wasim shocked the nation and her hundreds of followers when she announced on social media that she is quitting Bollywood and everything filmy citing religious concerns. In a long post, Zaira Wasim said that she wasn’t truly happy with her ‘line of work’ and since it threatened her religious beliefs therefore, she has decided to quit Bollywood. While Zaira made her big Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan’s Dangal wherein she played the role of Geeta Phogat, next, she was seen in Secret Superstar and her performance was highly appreciated. While it was only a few days back that Zaira completed the shooting of her next film titled The Sky Is Pink co-starring Priyanka Chorpa and Farhan Akhtar, and post Zaira’s note, reports suggest that Zaira has also opted out of the promotions of the film.

Soon after, a host of B-town celebs have reacted to Zaira’s news- while some have said that it is her choice to do what she likes, some have lashed out at Zaira for having regressive thoughts. From Raveena Tandon, Anupam Kher, Kangana Ranaut’s sister, Rangoli, to Niteish Tiwari and others, everyone have different opinions regarding Zaira’s stance. In the latest, we have Alia Bhatt’s mother aka Soni Razdan who has reacted to the topic as she said that one should do what he/she likes because that is what god wants you to do. In a long message, Soni wrote, “I just hope she grows up to realise that if you love what you do, that is exactly what God would want for you. And acting and the creative arts are in no way something dreadful or self indulgent. To make people feel, cry, laugh, think & connect is in itself a noble thing to do.”

In addition to this, Soni also commented that she still "respects" Zaira's decision as she wrote, "Having said this I would certainly respect her decision as this business can be hugely overwhelming and often quite frightening. @ZairaWasimmm you’re so young and you may feel differently in 4 years time.. we will welcome you back with open arms sweetheart if that is so.” After her note announcing her decision to quit Bollywood, Zaira again posted a message on Twitter wherein she confirmed that her account isn’t hacked and that she is the one who confirmed her exit from Bollywood. Well, all we can say is that Bollywood will miss you, young girl!

This Day That Year

Followers of Satan are trying to distract a pious, righteous, faithful muslim 'Zaira Wasim'. Insha'Allah Allah will protect her from all Satan, evildoers and disbelievers.

Nepo British giving gyan

Not everyone has it as easy as alia

Dear Mam,
Don't try to intrude into others lives and personal decisions. She has her own family, friends and wellwishers to guide her.

But...but, you said you'll be happier to shift to the neighbouring country. Still sitting here giving gyan to others on social media. And we know for sure, you'll never leave our Motherland that has given you practically EVERYTHING. So just keep quiet.

It's best she never comes back. She is an ungrateful person God gave talent and she is blaming that very talent. If I am wrong then my faith is wrong, but if I am right then one day the world will see that this decision of hers especially the way she broadcasted it was wrong. God never leaves you and there is no need to run after God. We are in God, the only thing is we are lacking awareness.

What if someone threating her to do this?

i hope its not a publicity stunt like last time

It's her personal choice. Some do it for family, some do it for religious beliefs. People are reacting to it as if she is going to jump off the bridge. People are in disbelief that a young girl is citing religious reasons to give up what she loves and really good at.

I love her her decision... And bollywood is not the only provider in this world! Allah is great and he has better plans for her!

Wow this girl thinks she is doing a great deed by kicking out her filmi career which is fine but I would say jab pet pe laat aati hai na tab reality yaad ayegi. No work in this world is low- don't be disrespectful.

attention seeker! it's her decision, don't try to make her change it , let her go
