Superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who was last seen in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy with megastar Chiranjeevi turns a year older on 11th October i.e tomorrow. But it looks like the actor does not wish to celebrate his birthday. The actor said that what is there to celebrate? It's a day like any other. He is grateful that he is still working and that his body is able to keep pace with his spirit. He just wants his well wishers to pray for his health.

Mr. Bachchan recalled his childhood birthdays when his father, the late poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, would always compose and recite a poem for him. He said that it was a family tradition. But this tradition took an entirely new definition when, he met with a fatal accident in 1984, where he nearly lost his life after a shooting accident on the set of Coolie. After this Big B's father recited a birthday poem and it was like a new life for him. While reading the poem, his father broke down. That was the only time Amitabh had seen him like that.

Talking about birthday rituals, the superstar said that his father's poetry is much-missed, as is his mother's excitement on that day. The annual ritual of cake-cutting no longer interests him and has been replaced by a plate of dry fruits.Speaking about an unfulfilled dream of his, he said that there are so many! He wants to play the piano, learn many languages and would have loved to work with Guru Dutt.

Talking about doing a remake of one of his films for himself, Big B said that what was to be done was done to those films and it is better to look ahead so there are none films that he would want to remake. On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in Gulabo Sitabo with Ayushmann Khurrana, Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt and Chehre with Emraan Hashmi.
