Gully Boy has been one of the biggest blockbusters this year. The film has not just won hearts of its audiences but, also got the attention of some major players in the Bollywood game. Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan loved the film so much that he sent his note of appreciation and flowers to the whole team of the film. With this film, director Zoya Akhtar has also made her mark in the industry. In an exclusive interview, Big B said that he watched Gully Boy 10 times to be able to emulate Ranveer Singh as a rapper om the film but miserably failed.

He also talked about the popularity of younger actors in the present scenario. “You are not pulling the audience in anymore. It's the younger stars, the younger generation, they are the more popular ones. I actually saw Gully Boy 10 times to be able to match or even come near Ranveer Singh. I met him last night and I told him, 'thank you so much, Ranveer. I've copied you and I tried to copy you and I failed miserably.” said Shehenshah of Bollywood in the interview.

Amitabh had become a rapper for one of the songs of his film Badla. Even though the actor looked freaking cool and managed to rap like a pro, he feels he was no way closer to what Ranveer Singh did in Gully Boy. Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh has two big films in his kitty- 83' and Takht. While 83' is based on the world cup win of India and is directed by Kabir Bedi, Takht is a multi-starrer period film by producer-director Karan Johar.
