The Greek God of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan, is currently gearing up for his next film Super 30, in which he will be playing the role of a maths teacher. The film is based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar, who started the Super 30 programme in Patna back in 2002. The educational programme selects 30 talented candidates each year from economically underprivileged sections of the society and coaches them for IIT entrance exams.

In a recent interview with India Today, Anand Kumar spoke at length about working with Hrithik. He said, “The makers and Hrithik studied my character well. They made a video of 150 hours of me. It had clips of me teaching and the way I talk to my family members. Hrithik used that video as a case study to understand me. He also called me six-seven times to Mumbai to have discussions with me. One time, he was so engrossed in talking to me that he almost walked out of his house bare feet while escorting me out. One of his staff members came running to remind him that he had forgotten to wear his slippers.”

The mathematician also shared his opinion on the #MeToo allegations against Vikas Bahl. He stated, “The film's shooting was done by the time the controversy surfaced and I knew Vikas Bahl. My father told me mehnat bekar nahi jaati, toh mujhe yakeen tha, aur aisa hua bhi. Unhein clean chit mil gayi.”

A lot of research and study went into making the film and Hrithik along with Vikas worked very hard for the same. Speaking about it, Anand said, “They have done justice to my story. Vikas ji used to go to villages to meet kids and would talk to people to give more depth to the script. He would go to remote areas where there would be no roads. You cannot travel in vehicles there, so he would walk to reach such places and talk to people. The film is the result of this hard work.”

Super 30 is slated to release on 12 July and along with Hrithik, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur, Virendra Saxena and Pankaj Tripathi.
