Ayushmann Khurrana was the winner of Roadies 2 in 2004 and later worked as a DJ at a radio channel in Delhi. After that, he worked as a VJ and hosted several shows. He was also a part of the TV show Ek Thi Rajkumari. Later, he hosted reality shows like India's Got Talent, MTV Roadies Season 7, Stripped, Music Ka Maha Muqqabla, to name a few. In 2012, he made his Bollywood debut with Shoojit Sircar's Vicky Donor and the movie was a hit. He was excellent as a host, but with Vicky Donor, he won hearts with his impressive acting skills. His journey of entering Bollywood wasn't an easy one, but very inspiring.

Since 2012, he has been a part of several films like Nautanki Saala, Hawaizaada, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Meri Pyaari Bindi, Shubh Mangal Savdhan and others. Each character he played in his films were different than the earlier ones. Time and again, he proved his versatility as an actor and with AndhaDhun, he proved again why he is the best in the current lot. The movie released today and has opened to good reviews from the critics. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Andhadhun is a suspense thriller and Ayushmann plays a blind pianist in it. The trailer looked quite intriguing and the film also stars Radhika Apte and Tabu.

While talking to Indian Express, the Bareilly Ki Barfi actor shared how he was the one who told Sriram Raghavan to give him the role. The actor said, "I had gotten to know the one-liner that a blind pianist witnessed a murder. That is quite an oxymoron. So, I was quite fascinated by that and I came to know that Sriram Raghavan is directing this film. Working with him was a part of my bucket list. I always wanted to work with him, so I texted him. This is the first time I texted a director after becoming an established actor. I met him and asked him, ‘why don’t you take an audition of mine?’. Next day, he took my screen test, and we did a couple of scenes. He loved it."

Well, we are glad he is playing the lead roles as the critics have praised him and the story.

This year, the actor has another release titled Badhaai Ho. He stars alongside Sanya Malhotra in the film. The trailer has left everyone in splits because of its hilarious concept. Directed by Nakul Kaushik, Badhaai Ho is slated to release on October 19, 2018.
