The 1987 film Mr India starring superstar Anil Kapoor and late actress Sridevi was one of the biggest hits and remains a cult classic till date. Directed by Shekhar Kapur and produced by Boney Kapoor, the superhero film became the second highest-grossing Indian film of 1987, after Dharmendra's Hukumat. According to reports, Boney Kapoor receives fan-mails till date to make a sequel to Mr India. The blockbuster is still fresh in our hearts and the dialogues will remain with us forever.

The film revolves around Arun, played by the evergreen Anil Kapoor, who lives with orphaned children. When Arun and his kids are continuously harassed by a gangster, he uses his late father’s invention, an invisibility watch, to fight back. Arun eventually falls in love with his tenant, a journalist named Seema, played by the beautiful Sridevi. The highlights of the film were Anil Kapoor and Sridevi’s on-screen chemistry, Sridevi’s charming magical performance on ‘Hawa Hawaii’ and villain Mogambo’s pet dialogue: “Mogambo khush hua.”

Celebrating 32 years of Mr India, Anil Kapoor took to his social media to write a heartfelt post. He dedicated the film’s anniversary to late action choreographer Veeru Devgan, who helmed the action scenes of the film. The caption reads: “#MrIndia was made iconic by its children friendly action scenes & Veeru’s Midas touch. I want to dedicate its 32nd anniversary to the man who made these unforgettable moments possible. #VeeruDevgan was an amazing man & I'm lucky to have worked with him. He is sorely missed...”

Mr India also featured Amrish Puri, Ashok Kumar, Satish Kaushik, Ajit Vachani and Sharat Saxena in supporting roles.
