Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra are busy shooting for Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar which is being helmed by Dibakar Banerjee. They will be seen reuniting onscreen after five years on screen after Ishaqzaade.
After completing the first schedule in Delhi, the team is now in Nepal where they will be shooting from December 5 to December 30, 2017.
A leading daily recently reported that Arjun was manhandled on the sets of the movie in Pithoragarh district.
Kamal Kumar, a driver from Chamoli in Uttarakhand, was arrested for assaulting Arjun, according to a leading daily.
A source revealed to the daily that on Monday night, Kamal approached Arjun inside his vanity van and forced him to shake hands with him. Arjun obliged him and Kumar was allegedly drunk. He then went on to twist his hand and manhandled the actor.
The security and police rushed to the venue and arrested Kumar while booking him for assault.
Arjun took to Twitter to refute the report and said, "How come I have no clue about this happening ? The crowd here has been peaceful. There might have been a disturbance off camera but the local force has never let it reach till me. My entire family was in panic this morning so using words like assault isn’t cool just for effect."
He added, "Nobody from the said media got in touch with my PR team or me to get clarity before carrying an untrue front page article about me being assaulted. Rather unfortunate & avoidable. Hope this doesn’t happen in the future cause it got my family distressed and it’s not appreciated."
