Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra are all set to reunite onscreen after five years in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar which is being helmed by Dibakar Banerjee.
The first schedule took place in Delhi and now the team has gone to Nepal where Arjun and Parineeti will shoot from December 5 to December 30, 2017.
A scary incident took place recently for Arjun on the sets of the movie in Pithoragarh district.
Kamal Kumar, a driver from Chamoli in Uttarakhand was arrested for assaulting Arjun, according to a leading daily.
A source revealed to the daily that on Monday night, Kamal approached Arjun inside his vanity van and forced him to shake hands with him. Arjun obliged him and Kumar was allegedly drunk. He then went on to twist his hand and manhandled the actor.
The security and police rushed to the venue and arrested Kumar while booking him for assault.
The police have also seized Kumar's car and slapped a fine of INR 500 for DUI. The police have also asked for his license to be cancelled.
We're glad Arjun is safe!
Meanwhile, when Pinkvilla chatted with Parineeti recently, we asked her about her co-star and close friend. To this, the actress replied, "It's going to be a blast! I was Arjun's first heroine and he was sort of my first hero. We have the greatest bond. We're amazing friends. We are unapologetic to each other. We can say anything to each other and we are absolutely unabashed when it comes to making fun of each other or giving feedback to each other. We never have to mince words, we never have to lick each other's as**s. We always tell it as it is. It's one of the most real friendships that I have in the industry. So, having him as a co-star for the next two films, at least I'm not worried that I have to worry about the co-star's tantrums or anything. It's going to be an amazingly positive working relationship."
Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar is slated to release on August 3, 2018.
