After giving different films like Badhai Ho and Andhadhun to the Bollywood industry, Ayushmann Khurrana is all set for his upcoming release Article 15. Helmed by Anubhav Sinha, the film also features Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, M Naser, Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, Subrajyoti Bharat, and Zeeshan Ayub. Ayushmann will essay the role of a cop for the very first time. It is set to hit the theatres on June 28.

Ayushmann is going to present a very sensitive topic through Article 15. According to the latest reports, the film has received a clearance by the Central Board of Film Certification with merely five cuts. The CBFC has granted U/A certificate to the film. Anubhav Sinha said that he is happy for the same as the cuts are fine and he agreed to it immediately. The cuts were for foul words used in the film, the Board has suggested using voiceover with a disclaimer for them.

Article 15 of the Indian Constitution is about prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. Talking about the film, Ayushmann had earlier said,  "I'm always intrigued by the socio-political situation of our country. We hardly see films which present the situation in an unbiased way. And it will be an absolute pleasure to work with him (Anubhav) on Article 15."
