Ayushmann Khurrana is all set to be seen in Anubhav Sinha’s intense drama, Article 15. The film will star Ayushmann Khurrana as IPS officer Ayan Ranjan. The film focuses on the culture of caste discrimination in Indian society. Set in a small village in Uttar Pradesh, Ayushmann gets to know of a crime committed against 3 women of the lower class and goes in search of the truth. While doing so, Ayushmann gets to know about caste discrimination and then decided to eradicate it altogether. 

Based on a section in the Constitution of India, Article 15 is a film that brings to light the caste discrimination in society. As per the section in the Constitution, there should not be any discrimination against any person on the basis of caste, religion, gender or any other thing. In the film, Ayushmann will be seen tackling the issue. Ahead of the release of the film, the makers released another poster in which we can see Ayushamnn as IPS Ayan going in search of the truth and bringing an end to the darkness of caste discrimination in a small village in UP.

In the poster, Ayushmann is seen dressed as a cop with other policemen. He is seen searching for something with a torch in his hands. Ayushmann took to Instagram to share the poster along with a caption, “Andheron mai bahut chal liye, ab hai Roshni ki bari. #AbFarqLaayenge

Meanwhile, Article 15 director, Anubhav Sinha revealed that he has been getting threat calls from Karni Sena. Also, Article 15 is being called anti-brahmin as per reports. Amidst this, Ayushmann also clarified that his film isn’t against any caste and is only based on what happens in society. The film also stars Isha Talwar, Kumud Mishra, Zeeshan Ayyub, Shashank Shende, Sayani Gupta and others. Article 15 is all set to release on June 28, 2019.
