Earlier this month, Marvel released the first trailer and official title of Avengers 4 and MCU fans took a sigh of relief. Also, the viewers got to know that the movie will release on April 26 next year and not in May. Russo brothers have been teasing about the runtime of the movie. A few months ago Joe Russo said on Instagram how the runtime of the movie was sitting at 3 hours. In another interview, they said that it was three hours, but they’d probably try to “squeeze it". And now, in a recent interview with Empire Magazine, Russo sounded more confident about it. "There's a high probability that this movie will clock in at around three hours. It's a big movie with a lot of story," he told. So, the sequel to Infinity War will clock in around three long hours.

The post-production of the movie will be wrapped up by March which is when MCU's first movie of 2019 Captain Marvel will release. If the movie is over 2 hours 40 minutes then it will beat Avengers: Infinity War which is the longest MCU movie till date. Theories also claim that the movie will be longer than the last movie as it the culmination of the story. The official runtime will not be announced soon, but fans can plan for three long hours plus previews and end credits scenes.

A 3-hour footage of the movie will not backfire the movie makers as the anticipation and excitement surrounding the same is huge, so fandom wouldn’t mind sitting through. What are your views? Let us know in the comments section below.
