The role of each superhero in Avengers: Endgame is still largely under wraps and despite the release of the teaser, trailer and a Superbowl TV spot, not much is known about how the Avengers will save the earth or undo Thanos' snap. The film is around three months away from its release and fan theories are trying to decode every single detail that has been played out so far. A new theory according to ScreenRant website is of the opinion that Captain America has a plan to defeat Thanos in Avengers: Endgame.

From the trailer, we do know that Tony Stark aka Iron Man is lost in space, and in his absence, it looks like Captain America will be the one taking charge and leading the Avengers. The report speculates that Captain America will assemble a new team and travel through time to take down Thanos.

In the trailer, we saw a clean shaven Captain America struggling to deal with the emotional loss. Whereas in the newly released Superbowl TV spot it further highlighted that he has been going through a difficult phase, as he's seen attending a group therapy session. The trailer, however, showed Captain America devise a plan that he's not entirely confident in.

The report elaborated that Captain's plan appears to be somewhat of a last ditch effort to save the day. This forces him to assemble a brand new Avengers roster as seen towards the end of the Super Bowl footage. He is shown leading the team through a hanger at Avengers HQ and the lineup looks to be Thor, Black Widow, Rocket, Ant-Man, and War Machine. There does appear to be another person behind War Machine, but it is unclear who it is.
