Avengers: Infinity War left a lasting impact on all MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) fans who were left gutted after that heartbreaking end. Thanos, not only accumulated all the six Infinity Stones but also wiped out half the universe thus killing some beloved superheroes like Spider-Man and Black Panther. Most of us will agree that it was a lost battle for The Avengers when Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) let his anger overtake him and punch Thanos back into consciousness as Tony Stark, Peter Parker and Stephen Strange were this close to winning against Thanos.

However, a recent fan theory suggests that Peter Quill actually saved Iron Man and Spider-Man's life. Given how Thanos had the power to dismantle both Thor and The Hulk, Spider-Man, Iron Man and Doctor Strange were not even in the same league as the Mad Titan. It seems as though Thanos was going easy on them so as to conserve energy for the battle at Wakanda or because the Soul Stone let him feel their resolve and hence, subconsciously dialed it back.

"However, if they were to get the gauntlet off of him, all of that would change. In the former case, holding back to conserve energy is no longer viable; after all, if they get the gauntlet or defeat him because he was holding back, everything would be for naught, so he’d have to go all out on them with the same level of force that floored the Hulk, which I don’t think most of them can take. In the latter case, he’d be separated from the Soul Stone, and wouldn’t have the feedback making him hold himself back, and would, again, likely end up slaughtering them all. Keeping the gauntlet on him would, therefore, be essential, either to allow him to maintain the illusion of control or to keep him in contact with the Soul Stone, and Quill’s freakout was the most convenient route to doing that," the theory further added.

He only beat the Hulk because of the stones he already had. This theory doesn't hold much water.

This makes no sense. You really think all of them wouldn't be able to take on Thanos after taking his gauntlet out??

Buy who saved star lord from thanos snap ?

I'm sorry for your lost
