Ayushmann Khurrana announces release date of Anubhav Sinha’s Anek; Film to hit theaters in September

After delivering blockbuster crime drama thriller Article 15, filmmaker Anubhav Sinha and actor Ayushmann Khurrana have teamed up again for the upcoming flick Anek. Early this month, the Vicky Donor star had shared his first look from the film as Joshua. The look received a positive response from his B-Town friends and fans. Ayushmann, who has been dropping pictures from the sets, has now taken to his social media handles to announce the release date of Anek that is currently being shot in Shillong.

Taking to his Instagram handle, the Bala star shared a note that read as, “Naam Anek, lekin release date Ek! Anubhav Sinha's next directorial starring Ayushmann Khurrana will release on September 17, 2021. Produced by Bhushan Kumar's T Series and Anubhav Sinha's Benaras Mediaworks.” While announcing the same, Ayushmann wrote in the caption, “Naam #ANEK, lekin release date ek! Milte hai aapse 17th September 2021 ko! @anubhavsinhaa #BhushanKumar @tseriesfilms @tseries.official @benarasmediaworks.” The actor’s post has left netizens all excited for the movie. While one of the users said, “Very excited!!,” another commented, “Eagerly waiting.”

The forthcoming film, which went on floors in the last week of January, is reportedly an action thriller.

Meanwhile, earlier while talking about Anubhav Sinha’s directorial, the Andhadhun star had told DNA in a statement, "Anek is allowing me to explore India and marvel at its beauty like never before. After Assam, I’m now at Shillong. I have incidentally been here before but I couldn’t explore it the way I wanted to. I’m shooting a film at this picturesque place for the first time in my life and I have to admit that I been blown away with how picture-perfect it is.”
