Ayushmann Khurrana has made a plan in the industry and has given some praiseworthy performances. He has made sure that he has been a part of such films that have some socially relevant messages - be it Vicky Donor or Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. Now, he is coming with yet another film - Badhaai Ho. Neena Gupta’s character (who plays Ayushmann’s mother in the film) gets pregnant at an older age and it’s a shocker for both the family and society.

The trailer has created the right buzz for the film. Right from dealing with social embarrassments to coming to terms with his parents’ active sex life to handling his own personal life, Ayushmann’s journey in the movie would be fun to watch.  Sanya Malhotra plays Ayushmann’s girlfriend in the film. Apart from Neena Gupta and Ayushmann Khurrana, the film also stars Surekha Sikri, Gajraj Rao and Sheeba Chaddh.

In an interaction with IANS, Ayushmann said, “People have now started calling me men’s Grihshobha (women’s magazine) because I have been a part of films which depicted issues of men. But this (Badhaai Ho) is the cleanest film of mine because it is neither based on sperm donation (Vicky Donor) and nor based on erectile dysfunction (Shubh Mangal Saavdhan).”

“You don’t have to tell your child what’s happening in the film while watching it... It’s a completely fun and quirky family entertainer,” added the actor.

When asked about the plot of the movie, he said, “Our parents should have their own choices to lead their life, but it gets a bit too much when your parents are expecting a baby when you are all grown up but I think eventually it’s their decision.”

Badhaai Ho is slated to release on October 19, 2018.
