After making us groove to the tunes of Don't Be Shy and Naah Goriye, on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, the makers of Bala have dropped its new poster. This new poster features all the three main leads Bhumi Pednekar, Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam. In the poster, we can see the actors standing on a ship. While Yami is doing the Titanic pose, Ayushmann is holding her and Bhumi is smiling with a shocked face while removing Ayushmann's wig from his head.

Ayushmann Khurrana posted the poster on his Instagram account with a quirky caption. He wrote, "#Bala ke baalon ki nayya toh kabki doob gayi. Love Story ki nayya paar hoti hai ya nahi, dekhte hai 7th November ko!" Ever since its first poster, Bala has been stirring a lot of controversies. First, for its resemblance with Sunny Singh starrer Ujda Chaman's poster followed by copyright violation charges levied by the makers of the latter, for Bhumi Pednekar's altered and unnaturally made dark complexion and then for the release date of the film.

On this, the makers of Bala released a statement, which said, “On this auspicious day of Diwali, Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films have decided that we will release our film Bala starring Ayushmann Khurrana in the title role on our original release date of 7th November, putting an end to much speculation. Ours is the one and only original Bala and in the best interest of business of theatre owners, our fellow producers and audience convenience we will do select preview of our film as planned on 7th November and re/ease it widely across nationwide cinemas on Friday the 8th of November. Diwali is an auspicious occasion to show grace and positivity and that’s exactly what we believe in. We have made a film that audiences are going to love and this decision comes from that confidence and conviction."
