Bhumi Pednekar, who was last seen in Sonchiriya with Sushant Singh Rajput, is currently busy with the promotions of her upcoming film Saand Ki Aankh with Taapsee Pannu. The actress will be portraying the character of a sharpshooter Chandro Tomar in the film. At the age of 30, Bhumi will be seen playing the role of a 65-year-old lady. On this, Bhumi feels that if it is a great character, irrespective of her age, come on her way then she will take it up. The Lust Stories actress has always been stereotyped as a small-town-girl. When asked the actress about it, she said that she just seeks good roles. It doesn’t matter where they belong. She doesn't mind becoming the face of small-town rural India because it’s home to such beautiful stories.

The Pati, Patni Aur Woh actress added that she indulges in the craft of being an artist; so, she doesn't have a reason to be insecure. She feels god has been kinder to her than most people, who have had to wait for longer to get that one ounce of success. She had some amazing films coming in her way right from the word go and it all happened quite fast. She further said that she got that appreciation that everyone yearns for. The momentum in her career right now is something else and she has worked hard to get it. Though it didn’t happen by chance. She is not saying that she doesn't want to break the stereotype, but the role has to be good enough.

She further concluded saying that she won’t give the nod to a role for the heck of it. In today’s day and age, artists anyway have enough avenues to display their real selves to the audience, so there’s no stress as such. Besides Saand Ki Aankh, Bhumi will also be seen in Pati, Patni Aur Woh with Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday. The movie posters were released yesterday. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on 6th December 2019. Directed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Anurag Kashyap, Reliance Entertainment and Nidhi Parmar, Saand Ki Aankh is all set to hit the big screens on 25th October 2019, i.e. this Diwali.
