Bigg Boss 13: Salman Khan's show lands into legal trouble after multiple complaints demanding ban
Bigg Boss season 13, hosted by superstar Salman Khan, went on air on 29th September and the format this year is very different from past seasons
Bigg Boss is undoubtedly one of the most loved and watched reality shows on Indian television. Hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, the 13th and on-going season went on air on 29th September and has had a good run so far with 13 celebrities participating. Actress Ameesha Patel also appeared in a few episodes in week 1 as the Malkin of the house to assign tasks. This year, the show will reach the finale in 4 weeks but will continue to air for the next two months with a big twist that will shock housemates as well as the audience.
The concept of the show this year is very different. While in past seasons housemates decided their own chores and bed mates, in the 13th season the duties and ‘Bed Friend Forever’ were already assigned to them on day one. There were some viewers who had issues with the new format and hence complained against it, demanding a ban on the reality show. Today, a Tweet shared by ANI regarding the same, read: “Sources: Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is looking into the complaint against 'Big Boss - 13' reality show.”
Among others, a complaint was registered by BJP MLA Nand Kishore Gujjar who wrote a letter about the topic. He wrote: “The show is against the cultural ethos of the country and highly objectionable intimate scenes were a part of it. Couples of different communities were being made to become bed partners which was unacceptable.”
