Indian audiences are in for a treat this Friday as Marvel's first film of 2019 is all set to releasing. Starring Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson, Captain Marvel will release worldwide tomorrow and early reviews have already predicted a massive opening for the film. Excitement among fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is at an all-time high as Captain Marvel will set the precedent for the next Marvel film in line Avengers: Endgame. International media reports have claimed that Captain Marvel's box office collection will be a staggering figure.

Back home in India, Captain Marvel has already generated a huge curiosity among the younger audiences. The advance booking for the film opened on Sunday. We asked Trade Analyst and Film Expert, Girish Johar whether Captain Marvel will make the cut in India. Johar told Pinkvilla, "Lot of curiosity has been generated in the international market and it has trickled down to the Indian market as well. The trailer has generated curiosity and excitement levels are quite high among the youth."

Considering the film will be releasing in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu it is expected to have a great run at the theaters. Johar said, "The target audience for Captain Marvel is prominently the teenagers and the youth. They are looking forward and are excited about the film. So considering Captain Marvel will release in different languages, I feel the first day box office collection will be around Rs 6-7 crore."

Johar also added that if the film does extremely well on its first day, the box office collection will see a slight raise and may go up to Rs 8-9 crore. Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel is the first solo female-led film in the MCU. India has been a great market for superhero films in the past for films like Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool and Black Panther.
