After Kriti Kharbanda's exit from Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starrer Chehre, the makers have been hunting an actress to play Kriti's part. According to some reports, Gold actress Mouni Roy had been roped in the film instead of Kriti. Mouni was often spotted outside producer Anand Pandit's office which made speculations of her being the lead actress in Chehre. But now according to reports by ToI, Mouni had to let go of the movie due to her busy schedule.

A source close to the development said that Mouni's kitty is full with some amazing projects. After Brahmastra the actress has a lot of other commitments. The makers of Chehre wanted Mouni to take this up but the dates did not match well for her due to some prior commitments. However, she wished them all the luck. Recently Mouni took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture posing with her Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji as they bond over their film. "Mythical magical creatures #BrahamastraCalls", Mouni wrote in her caption.
