Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari made his directorial debut with the 2011 film Chillar Party. Along with winning hearts, the movie won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film. He went on to garner a fan following with hit films like Bhoothnath Returns and Nil Battey Sannata. Then came Dangal, which became a turning point. Starring Aamir Khan, Zaira Wasim, Suhani Bhatnagar, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra, the biographical sports drama became the highest-grossing Indian film ever.

In a recent interview with India Today, the director was asked how he took Zaira’s decision to quit Bollywood. He shared, “I took it very naturally as it should have been taken. Although I felt really bad, totally because of knowing what she is capable of. But we all need to realise that at the end of the day, it is her life and her decision. She has all the right to choose and live life the way she wants to live. Just the way all of us do it when it comes to us.”

Currently, Nitesh Tiwari is busy gearing up for his next release titled Chhichhore, starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma and Prateik Babbar. According to reports, the romantic comedy drama follows the life of seven friends from 1992 to present day. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Chhichhore is scheduled to be released on 30th August this year. The makers are all set to drop the trailer on Friendship Day, that is, 4th of August.
