Tabu has a long working history with Ajay Devgn. They have worked in numerous films together such as Vijaypath, Drishyam, Thakshak, Haqeeqat and Rohit Shetty’s hit film Golmaal Again. Once again the actors will be reuniting on-screen in the upcoming De De Pyaar De which will also be starring Rakul Preet. It revolves around a 50 year old single father, played by Ajay, who falls in love with a 26 year old woman, Rakul. The film takes a funny turn when he faces disapproval from his family and ex-wife, played by Tabu.

The trailer was released a few weeks ago and received a lot of appreciation. However, many pointed out that it may end up having the same old story of two women fighting over a man, competing for his love and affection. Speaking about the same, Tabu has stated that De De Pyaar De explores various facets of a relationship and is not about two women vying for a man.

Tabu said, “It's definitely not about two women vying for a man. It's not making fun or humouring everything. There is seriousness and maturity also and that's the beauty of the film.” According to her, the film tries to understand how two people in a relationship with an age gap view love and relations.

Ajay should also, work with Manisha Koirala.

It's obviously not about a love triangle. That's why the people that called the trailer "sexist" are stupid. It's about how a new girlfriend struggles to integrate into a family.
