Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are inching towards marking their first wedding anniversary. On November 14, 2018, the internet was obsessed with DeepVeer and couldn't wait for the duo to share some photos from the wedding. Almost a year on, the internet is still obsessed with Deepika and Ranveer's heartwarming wedding photos. While the "shaadi kab ho rahi hai" talk is done and dusted, Deepika and Ranveer now tackle the next big question: babies. While we would love to see mini DeepVeers taking over our timelines, Deepika and Ranveer aren't ready for kids yet.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Deepika revealed that she and Ranveer want children but not right now. The Chhapaak actress admits that she and Ranveer are no strangers to the pregnancy rumours. However, she also added that the couple is focussed on their careers as on now. Ranveer will soon be seen in '83 followed by a cameo in Sooryavanshi. As for Deepika, she will be seen in Chhapaak earlier next year. She will then reunite with Ranveer on the big screen in '83. Deepika confesses the couple is not even thinking about kids right now.

“It’s sad that society puts people in this rut that if you’re dating for so long toh shaadi kab hogi and then bacche. We’re not surprised by the rumours. Of course we want children, we both love kids. But we’re too selfishly focused on our careers at this point. It wouldn’t be fair to have kids at this point. We’re not even thinking about kids," she told the publication.

Apart from work, Deepika is constantly working towards creating awareness and ending the stigma associated with mental health illness. "I won’t die until I accomplish that. It’s my mission in life. I’ll not be able to rest in peace unless we, as a country, stop attaching stigma around mental health,” she told the outlet.
