Deepika Padukone recently was in news for having being signed as the female lead in Luv Ranjan's next which will also star Ranbir Kapoor. As soon as the news broke the internet, Deepika's fans trended #NotMyDeepika on Twitter urging the lady to not take up the movie. For those unversed, Luv Ranjan has been accused of sexual harassment by a woman during the Me Too movement; however, the case was not taken forward.

Recently, during an interview with Vogue, Deepika was asked if she would work with someone who has been accused of sexual harassment. To which, the actress replied in negative saying, "No! I would not." Well, this would certainly come as a relief for fans who have been wanting Deepika to react on speculations. Deepika recently was spotted outside Ranjan's office along with Ranbir Kapoor and that certainly wasn't taken well by the audience.

Meanwhile, Deepika has Chhapaak in the pipeline in which she plays the role of Laxmi Agarwal, the acid attack survivor. The movie also stars Vikrant Massey in lead roles and is one of the most anticipated movies this year. The movie has been directed by Meghna Gulzar and has been shot extensively in Delhi and Mumbai. Deepika will also be seen in '83 alongside Ranveer Singh. The actress will play his wife in the movie which chronicles the life of Kapil Dev and will recreate the historic Indian cricket's team World Cup win in 1983.
