That Deepika Padukone made her Hollywood debut with XXX: Return of Xander Cage (2017) starring Vin Diesel, Donnie Yen, Nina Dobrev and other stars, is a fact known to all but little did we know that Deepika is interested in being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and play a superhero in the Avenger series. But there’s a twist because Deepika wants that the superhero is of Indian origin. Now won’t that be cool?

Deepika, who was recently in London to unveil her wax statue at Madame Tussaud’s, spoke about her willingness to be part of a superhero film. “Yeah, of course. Why not? I mean I’d say Indian origin. So whether it’s Marvel or whether it’s Avengers, or you know, any of these iconic characters that we’ve seen in the cinema, I think it would be very interesting. And I think the world is ready for it to see one of these superheroes, one that originates from India. I believe it will happen soon. I know it will,” Deepika informed.

Besides Deepika and hubby Ranveer Singh, their families also attended the unveiling of Deepika's wax statue and Deepika also went live on Instagram when she was unveiling her wax figurine. On the work front, after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, this gorgeous actress will next be seen in Meghna Gulzar's film Chhapaak and the film is based on the real-life story of an acid attack survivor, Laxmi. Besides Deepika, the film stars Vikrant Massey, and is expected to go on floors soon. Also, Deepika will turn producer with Chhapaak.

I hope she gets it. She'd make a great superhero

actually alia's performances all seem very similar to me, if you see kapoor and sons, highway, dear zindagi its basically the same character she plays - the angsty millenial bursting into tears...i would say vidya in kahaani, tabu and shraddha in haider, even deepika in tamasha are better examples of subtle acting...

In her dreams ! Bollywood actress are expected and Mae to actina certain dramatic way that doesn't happens in real life. Seeing the acting of Madhuri, Aishwarya or even kareena in earlier films makes me laugh so so so hard. Not just these actress almost all actress used to simply OVERACT and that's what Indian audience thinks great acting is. In Hollywood people try to act as closely as they would in real life and thus they don't give 10 different expressions in 1 min. Priyanka too used to overact in Bollywood films but only because Indian audience knows nothing about real acting and they expect only macho behaviour from heroes and overacting from heroines. But she literally slayed in Quantico because she learned to act in Hollywood style. Amongst Bollywood actresses, alia bhatt is one actress who never overacts and keeps it subtle.

If indian stars are such bad actors and movies are so bad, why are you wasting time here?
Understand the context- indian movies are still strongly based on stage dramas. You act for who your audience is.

avengers team won’t even know about her existence

The avengers team need someone smart not a dumb sounding pendu

It's like shraddha wanting to play Sania

Wow.delusional much
