Today, the trailer of Saif Ali Khan’s Baazaar was launched at the Bombay Stock Exchange and there couldn’t have been a better place to launch the trailer, for the film is based on the subject of stock market, money and power. Directed by Gauravv K Chawla, Baazaar stars Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte, Rohan Mehra and Chitrangada Singh in pivotal roles. While the tagline of the film reads, "Bada aadmi bann ne ke liye, line cross karni padti hai", in the film, Saif Ali Khan essays the role of a filthy rich businessman named Shakun Kothari, who only cares about money.

After talking about the film and its characters, Saif Ali Khan got to serious business as he expressed a sense of apprehension over the growing scams in the country. Talking at the launch of the trailer, Saif Ali Khan expressed his concern over the growing corruption in the country, taking an indirect jibe at scamsters such as Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi and other businessman who have fled the country. Saif Ali Khan said, “We want less corruption, less scams, we have a very honest line of work, we try and make movies, we try and sell movies, most of the time the press is catching movie stars, catch these guys (Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi),” adding, “We are nothing but small town people, the big games have been somewhere else, we don’t even know what the game is.” Well, we understand you Mr. Khan because as actors, you are simply playing a character in the film but the real scamsters are out in the world.

Saif Ali Khan was last seen in the 2018 film Kaalakaandi directed by Akshat Verma. While this film flopped at the box office, we hope that Saif Ali Khan redeems himself with the crime drama, Baazaar. Baazaar will release on October 26, 2018.
