Dream Girl is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films of the year. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Arbaaz Khan and Nushrat Bharucha, the romantic comedy drama is slated to hit theatres on 13th September. The first look of the film was shared by Ayushmann and it was enough to create a stir in the audience. In the poster that announced the beginning of filming, the actor can be seen wearing a yellow saree with a ‘ghungat’ on his head and sitting on top of a scooter.

The trailer launch of the film is today and makers have held a media interaction for the same. During the chat, producer Ekta Kapoor shared, “Ayushmann was not my dream girl. I wanted an actor who could do justice to the script. Ruchika and I discussed and I was certain that Ayushmann bets on script so that needs to be strong.” She went on to add, “It takes a very talented man to play a woman onscreen.”

According to the buzz, National Award winner Ayushmann will be seen playing the role of a man who finds a job in a female friendship call centre and is the only male employee there. In a recent interview, the actor shared how he had to dub 25% of his dialogues in a female voice. Dream Girl is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and is co-produced by Ekta and Shobha Kapoor under their banner Balaji Motion Pictures.
