Finally, the #MeToo movement has hit India after Tanushree Dutta renewed a ten-year old complaint of sexual harassment against actor Nana Patekar. Soon after Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar controvery, many stars have been accused of sexual misconduct and other B-town celebs are opening up and extending support to the victims and their stories. After director Vikas Bahl was accused of sexual misconduct by an employee of Phantom Films, Hrithik Roshan took to Twitter to address the issue by saying that it is impossible for him to work with any person guilty of such misconduct.

Bahl has been accused by a woman of sexually harassing her and although the victim spoke about the harrowing incident last year but her story resurfaced now due to the MeToo movement. Recently, an article put up a detailed description of how Vikas Bahl sexually harassed the girl and how Bahl’s then partners- Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena couldn’t do much about it. In the wake of the #MeToo movement, Hrithik Roshan has spoken up against Vikas Bahl because Vikas happens to be the director of Roshan’s next film titled Super 30. Hrithik Roshan tweeted, “It is impossible for me to work with any person if he/she is guilty of such grave misconduct. I am away and have access to only sporadic information. I have requested the producers of Super 30 to take stock of the apparent facts and take a harsh stand if need be. This is not to be hushed or brushed under the carpet. All proven offenders must be punished and all exploited people must be empowered and given strength to speak up."

In the wake of the allegations against Vikas Bahl, it is being reported that Vikas Bahl may not only be kicked out of the project but his name may also be dropped from the films credit. But amid all this, there comes a relief that now Super 30 will not clash with Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika- The Queen of Jhansi. According to sources, Super 30 might get pushed for a March release and if this happens, Hrithik Roshan’s film will not clash with Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika. For all those who don’t know, Super 30 is the last production of Phantom Films and was slated to release on January 25, 2019. However, amid all the controversy, it is reported that Super 30 has been pushed for a March release. Besides, Manikarnika, Emraan Hashmi’s Cheat India and Thackeray are also releasing on the same date but with Super 30 pushed for a March release, the makers of both Manikarnika and Super 30 can heave a sigh of relief as the epic clash of Kangana and Hrithik will be avoided.

Yesterday, Vikas Bahl slapped a legal notice to Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane wherein Vikas has accused Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane of devising the whole #MeToo campaign against him, and using the opportunity to split up Phantom Films. Vikas Bahl legal notice reads, “You are neither a witness nor the alleged victim, but instead an opportunist seeking to derive benefit based on unsubstantiated information. The alleged incident has not been established in any court of law and that you have exploited the media to propagate your own personal vendetta.” For all those who don’t know, Phantom films was owned by Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Anurag Kashyap, Madhu Mantena and Vikas Bahl. Recently, Phantom Films was dissolved as the directors called it quits after seven years of partnership.

Besides being kicked out of Super 30, it is being reported that Amazon Prime Video has dropped Vikas from a show that the director was supposed to direct for the company.

Perhaps others are trying to put all the blame on Bahl now. But he was dating his cowriter Chaitali of Queen and Shandar in 2015! His wife Richa divorced him them, same time as Kashyep with Kalki. Hummmmm
