The trailer of Kabir Singh was launched in Mumbai recently by the star Shahid Kapoor and was also attended by the leading lady Kiara Advani. But, guess what? The film has two females stars, the second one being Nikita Dutta. However, she wasn't present at the trailer launch event. Fans were really curious to know if she is a part of the film or not. The film will hit the screens on June 21.

Several posters of the film have also been released. Shahid will be playing the role of an alcoholic surgeon in the film. Kabir Singh narrates the story of a man who goes into a self-destructive path after his ex marries someone else. When asked about Nikita's absence, she told us, "Well yes, unfortunately I could not be a part of this much awaited trailer launch and that is simply because I had some prior commitments with regards to a new project which unfortunately I cannot disclose right now. I really wanted to be a part of the event but could not”.

She further added, “Kabir Singh is the Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy. If you go back and watch the first promo of Arjun Reddy you won’t find Jia Sharma (my character) in it as well. The story is crystal clear and that is about a man who is in love with a girl and how he goes on the unconventional self destructive path. As evident it was important to establish their character first for everyone to understand who and what Kabir Singh is. Having said that you will see me soon on and off screen and I am really looking forward for Kabir Singh’s release."
