Captain Marvel had finally made its way to theatres in India and globally. Given the curiosity surrounding the film, trade analysts had expected the film to start off on a good note in India. While we wait for the official box office numbers to trickle in, Pinkvilla spoke with the woman of the moment, Brie Larson aka Captain Marvel. In an exclusive interview, Brie Larson opened up about her prep for slipping into the skin of Captain Marvel, her relationship with Samuel L Jackson and how she tried really hard to not give away any spoilers.

"Am just excited to share the feeling of the Captain Marvel film," Brie said. "It is surreal that the film is finally happening. Am also excited for it to come out because then I don't have to worry about spoiling things," she added. Captain Marvel is Marvel Studios' first standalone female-led film, when asked revealed whether she felt any kind of added pressure, she said, "I have never thought about it that way. It doesn't help to add pressure or look at it from that lens. It's the same thing. It is like going to work every day. It's just people making something and you never know how people are going to react to it."

Samuel L Jackson, who plays Nick Fury, had earlier told Pinkvilla that Brie was like a sister to him. Reacting to this, Brie said, "I love him so much. I don't how to put it. Sometimes you just meet people and you feel like you've known them for a lifetime. He is a great scene and travel partner."

Marvel Studios had earlier revealed that Captain Marvel will be the next big thing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Brie was quizzed about how she felt on all the superheroes coming together in Avengers: Endgame. Without giving any spoilers, Brie said, "In the first one, I had a huge smile on my face while watching it. Characters you never thought would be interacting and like doing quintessential things. It is really satisfying. The films are so dynamic..they are funny, sad and real I am excited to see what happens."

Brie Larson has done quiet a fine job at not dropping any hints. She revealed how difficult it was for her to not share her shoot experiences with anyone. Brie said, "I can't tell anybody. I can't take any pictures or I don't know how to explain what's happening. I would see my friends on the weekend and they would ask me why are you so tired? And my reply would be, "You have no idea how many aliens I fought this week." She also added that playing a superhero is exhausting. It is tiring.

"As an actor you are walking, talking and emoting which is tiring in itself. Add to that, doing your own stunts, being physical. I wanted to tap out of it at times," Brie said.
