Sridevi, an icon of Indian cinema, passed away on February 24, after accidentally drowning in Dubai. Sridevi's untimely demise left the entire country in shock. Her fans from around the world got together in Mumbai for her condolence meeting and mourned for the legendary actor’s loss.

Farah Khan, who has worked with Sridevi and has now choreographed for Janhvi Kapoor’s daughter in Dhadak, feels it would be unfair to compare the newcomer with her mother.

She said, “Janhvi is absolutely lovely and she is a very good dancer. She picks up really fast and to compare her to her mother is the most unfair thing I think because Sri by her age was already a veteran and this is Janhvi’s first film. I love Sri. When I started my career, she really pushed me and I used to do all her shows. But everybody is (a different) individual.’’

Farah recreated the popular track Zingat from blockbuster Marathi film Sairat for the Hindi remake version. Talking about it, she said, ‘’What happened was when they asked me to do it (recreate the song) for the Hindi version, I was given two briefs. The director (Shashank Khaitan) wanted it like it was done in the earlier movie, very casual, very organic and Karan wanted it to be a big song.”

Dhadak was earlier scheduled to release on July 6, 2018, but now it has been postponed for a July 20, 2018, release.

Earlier, Pinkvilla had got in touch with director Shashank Khaitan to ask about Dhadak and the idea behind the posters. To this, he had replied, "I think the idea behind the posters was to give the honest representation of the film we want to make and to do justice to it. It was also about giving sense to the character we are going to portray and that's the basic intent we plan to do with the film. It's a special film and right from the title, we wanted to be honest."

Even biggest stars today can’t be compared to her legacy, she was an all rounder, today’s actress are like they can dance , but can’t express while dancing, can they dance solo without any background dancers and hold audience eyeballs without any distraction, they can cry but no audience will cry along with them, they hardly do comedy, there eyes r empty and need language to express their thoughts. But these actresses should not be at fault, its directors fault not to bring the best of them. Sridevi worked with the best of directors from a very young age of 13 as a heroine, she and kamalhassan worked under same directors so both of their techniques are similar and people find them brilliant.

Thankfully janhavi doesn’t look like sriji, if she looks like sridevi people would definitely expect more from her, but her mannerisms are like sriji, nevertheless she will be compared to her mom in every possible way and janhvi should work really hard compared to other debutants.

YOu are probably comparing the mother Sridevi's looks to Janhvi. When Sri was Jahnvi'e she looked exactly the same. Jahnvi will grow up to look like Sri. She is the 70s sridevi.

But sridevi is hardly 15 in 70s, when she grow up she lost face fat and looked gorgeous , but janhvi doesnt have any face fat, she got wide jaw bones, nonetheless she is beautiful, she will look more beautiful when her acting is as beautiful as her.

With all due respect to the departed soul. Why is Farrah khan defending Jhanvi? Wasn’t she the one who said nepotism doesn’t exist? The fact that she is even making the statement defending Jhnavis dancing before the film’s release shows how closed the Bollywood industry is. You need to back off and focus on as a choreographer cos as a producer you are FLOP.

Actor parents are the reason people go and watch these kids' debut movies (not to mention the reason the kids get these jobs in the first place). It's fair to compare them. And, we want them to succeed; would love to see these kids be as amazing actors as Sridevi, Amrita, SRK etc

Am I the only one who thinks Farah makes up arguments and then fights with the arguments. She claims people are saying stuff she makes up. She is so negative, always doing battle w something or someone. Sorry Farah fans, I don't feel her.

Be kind to Jahnavi..Afterall she is a daughter who lost her mother..Hope her movie works well.

Agreed.
