One of the best Bollywood films ever made, loved by audiences of all generations, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara released in theatres 8 years ago today. The ultimate buddy film, directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment, ZNMD stars one of the most perfect ensemble cast in the history of Hindi films: Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif, and Kalki Koechlin.

The film follows the life of three school friends, Arjun Saluja, Kabir Dewan and Imran Qureshi, who have been inseparable since childhood. They fly away to Spain for Kabir’s bachelor trip and each friend chooses a dangerous sport for the group to participate in. During the trip, they meet Laila, played by Katrina, who falls in love with Arjun, played by Hrithik. Imran, played by Farhan, finally meets his biological father for the first time while Kabir, played by Abhay, realizes he’s not ready to get married.

Today, celebrating the milestone, actors Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol took to their social media handles to share emotional posts. Farhan wrote: “8 years since Bagwati moved on .. but I guess the life has to the move ons the somehow... Love to all amigos and amigas .. you who made the film possible and you who made the film a success in more ways than just box office can quantify. Lots of love and a big hug.”
