Actor Farhan Akhtar always puts across his opinion when it comes to any social or political issue. This time, the actor took to his Twitter handle to share a tweet in support of Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar, who has been subjected to nepotism trolling recently. Arjun has been recently selected by the Mumbai Indians team for India Premier League (IPL) T-20 series 2021 at the auction. Farhan has mentioned in his tweet that he and Arjun go to the same gym and he knows how the young cricketer works hard on his fitness.

Farhan has also added that Arjun is also extremely focussed on becoming a ‘better cricketer’. He has urged everyone not to destroy his enthusiasm before he begins. Farhan’s tweet for Arjun reads as ‘I feel I should say this about #Arjun_Tendulkar. We frequent the same gym & I’ve seen how hard he works on his fitness, seen his focus to be a better cricketer. To throw the word ‘nepotism’ at him is unfair & cruel. Don’t murder his enthusiasm & weigh him down before he’s begun.”

Soon, Farhan’s ladylove Shibani Dandekar also came out in support of Arjun; she re-tweeted her beau’s tweet and wrote, “THIS!!!”

Take a look at Farhan Akhtar’s tweet for Arjun Tnedulkar here:

On Thursday, during the IPL 2021 auction, Arjun was bought at a base price of Rs 20 Lakh by Mumbai Indians. Soon, Twitter erupted with memes on the legendary cricketer’s son where they reportedly called him a ‘product of nepotism.’ However, amid the trolling, many cricket lovers also backed Arjun too and called trolling ‘irrelevant’. A few users said that if he doesn’t play well, he’ll be dropped.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Farhan Akhtar will next be seen in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s  Toofan. The actor will be seen portraying the role of a boxer in the film. It will also star Mrunal Thakur in the lead role.

Don’t beat his enthusiasm before he has begun? Did he seriously just write that? I guess for the rich in India, enthusiasm is enough to land them a juicy spot while the rest labor away. Thank god these kinda thing don’t happen in nfl or nba

Cricket is a merit based game based on runs and wickets. If he doesn’t produce he will be dropped. Keep it simple folks. Each in didn’t buy a team and put his son in the team.

I am glad Arjun is following his father's footstep in cricket however it is a big shoe to fill in.it is hard but if he has talent any works hard and with the guidance of the best cricketer in the world besides being best batsman he should be able to make his own place. Don Bradman's son even change his name to bradson he did not want to be known to be son of a great cricketer. I wish all the luck for Arjun

The worst disease in India is not cancer or virulent infections it’s NEPOTISM. When will it stop?

What’s this about India...why do the connected one percent always gets to decide who deserves to lead ?..the world watching

Anonymous 1 week ago

I don't know if he's any good ... his desire or hard work makes no difference if he took the place of someone who deserved it, simply by virtue of being Tendulkar's son. Other kids also work hard and have desires to succeed, its not fair he steals their dreams.

I didn't assume anything dumbo...neither that he is good, nor that he is bad. I made allowance for off chance he is good. Fair comment, not paragraph.

So you dont know anything, but wrote a full paragraph of assumptions.

He and his escort are so distasteful. One nepokid commenting on another doesn't help at all! He should have stayed quiet!
