For every movie buff, Friday is one exciting day as we get to see different visions and stories on the big screen. This Friday, the movie fanatics are in for a double treat as you have Sushant Singh Sushant Singh Rajput’s Sonchiriya and Kartik Aaryan’s Luka Chuppi hitting the theatres. Both the films have different plot lines and perception altogether. One is rustic and raw, another is contemporary and is loaded with humour. The viewers will be spoilt for choice and they can either treat them with Sonchiriya or Luka Chuppi or you can watch both of them.

Directed by Abhishek Chaubey and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Sonchiriya is shot in the valleys of Madhya Pradesh and is set in the year 1975. The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Manoj Bajpayee, Bhumi Pednekar, Ashutosh Rana and Ranvir Shorey in the lead roles. The selling point for the movie is that it has an ensemble cast and all the actors are known for their acting prowess and versatility. The second selling point could be the fact the movie has got the rawness of the dacoit culture in Chambal. It will be surely interesting to see something not attempted way too often in the industry on the big screen. The third point is Abhishek Chaubey’s direction and we all know that he is brilliant with his craft. His films like Udta Punjab have been appreciated for its content. The fourth could be the eagerness of knowing the dialect in the trailer which will surely attract many movie fanatics. Both the trailers were well received by the audiences and it will be interesting to see if the movie is able to create that magic at the big screens.

If something raw and rustic is not what you prefer, then we have Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon’s Luka Chuppi. On a lighter note, this film shows how a live-in relationship almost turns into marriage as the couple has to stay with their family. Yes, it will be a roller-coaster ride. Fans have loved the trailer and are waiting to see the film. One of the reasons to opt for this can be the contemporary topic that the film-maker is trying to show. The second reason can be the national crush, Kartik Aaryan. The songs are also getting popular and people are loving the chemistry between Kartik and Kirti.

Which film are you rooting for? Is it Sushant Singh Rajput’s Sonchiriya or Kartik Aaryan’s Luka Chuppi?
