The #MeToo movement in India has reached out to not just people at large, but has also resulted in various organisations coming out in support of those who have levelled charges against the biggies from the industry. Earlier in the day, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao met with the Producers’ Guild in order to take effective measures against those accused, and now, FWICE has come out with another statement after having offered legal aid to those who might need it.

According to the latest reports, FWICE has barred workers from working with Nana Patekar, Alok Nath and Vikas Bahl if they do not respond to the show – cause notice within 10 days. FWICE advisor, Ashok Pandit said in a statement that they want to create a fear psychosis so that the powers entrusted upon the people aren’t misused. However, he also said that they want to listen to both sides of the story and hence they have been given the time to respond, failing which, their workers will not work with them.

The entire movement began after Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her. Gradually, this led to allegations against other people from the industry to crop up, including the likes of Alok Nath, Rajat Kapoor, Vikas Bahl and others.

As the movement is gaining pace, there seems only more stories of sexual harassment that are coming out in the open. Meanwhile, National Commission for Women, too, had urged women to come out in the open and lend their support.
