Two weeks back, Parineeti Chopra had jetted off to London, the UK to kick off the shooting of her ambitious project, the official remake of Emily Blunt starrer The Girl On The Train. On the first day, Parineeti shared a casual picture from the sets and promised to share the first look very soon. Well, the day has finally arrived and Pari has shared her first look as The Girl On The Train on social media. The actress took to Instagram to share a photo of herself as the first look of her character in the upcoming thriller. 

In the photo, Parineeti can be seen sitting inside a bathtub with a bleeding wound on her head. With a mix of blood and water running down on her face, Pari can be seen looking perplexed AF unaware of what had happened the night before. While the netizens seemed to have loved the intensity that Parineeti is bringing to her look as The Girl On The Train, the director of the film, Ribhu Dasgupta appreciated the star’s talent in a chat with Mumbai Mirror.

Ribhu mentioned that before shooting everyday, the crew begins the day with a joke as the theme of the film is intense. Also, the director was all praises for Parineeti and mentioned that her talent has been untapped till now. The director also mentioned that the team of the film had worked very closely on Parineeti’s look and have stuck to shades of brown, black, grey and green for her makeup. Pari has been focussing on her body language and dialogue delivery as a part of her homework for the film. The actress captioned the photo as, “Something I’ve never done before. And the most difficult character I have ever played in my life #FirstLook #TheGirlOnTheTrain.”

Meanwhile, the film is helmed by Ribhu Dasgupta and is produced by Reliance Entertainment production. The director also mentioned that despite the film being a remake of the Hollywood film and adapted from British author Paula Hawkins’ novel, Parineeti Chopra starrer will be unique and make its own place. The film also stars Kirti Kulhari who also joined the cast of the film a few days ago. The director revealed that the first look that Pari shared is a scene that comes at a turning point in the film. The team of the film plans to finish the shoot by third week of September.

Really disappointing- it’s a great story but not sure about casting her. Alia Bhatt would’ve been good

Why will I watch this if I’ve already read the book and watched the Hollywood movie unless they make changes nope I won’t watch it.
