Ayushmann Khurrana is currently busy shooting for his next film Gulabo Sitabo which is scheduled to release on 24 April next year. For the very first time, the actor will be sharing the screen space with the biggest Bollywood superstar, Amitabh Bachchan. Directed by Shoojit Sircar and written by Juhi Chaturvedi, the film is said to be a family comedy-drama which revolves around glove puppet characters named Gulabo and Sitabo, famous in Uttar Pradesh.

Big B, Shoojit Sircar and Juhi Chaturvedi had last collaborated for the superhit film Piku, which also stars Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan. In a recent interview, Ayushmann opened up about what it is like to work with the three of them and shared, “I can't really talk much about the film right now, but Amitabh Bachchan, Shoojit Sircar and Juhi --- it's like a dream team. It is a good amalgam of Vicky Donor and Piku. The storyline is in a lighter space. I am happy.”

Ayushmann is currently flying high on the success of his recent release, Article 15. The Anubhav Sinha directorial also stars Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, Manoj Pahwa, Veen and Sumbul Touqeer and has managed to do pretty well on the box office. It takes inspiration from true life events such as the 2014 Badaun gang rape incident and the 2016 Una flogging incident. The film is based on Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, which prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth.
