Ranveer Singh, the superstar who has been the epitome of style and versatility, is known to have given several hit movies in his career of a decade. Amid all his big releases, there has been one release which made him reach the new heights of success and presented the Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela star in a never seen before avatar. We are talking about Zoya Akhtar’s 2019 release Gully Boy wherein Ranveer played the role of a street rapper.

For the uninitiated, the Gully Boy was inspired by the lives of renowned Indian street rappers Divine and Naezy. Also starring Alia Bhatt, Kalki Koechlin, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Vijay Raaz, the movie turned out to be a massive hit and went on to win hearts with its motivational story which came with the thought that true talent does get recognition at some point in life and was relatable to everyone. From the cast to storyline, dialogues and music, everything managed to garner accolades. In fact, Gully Boy was also selected as the Indian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards, which marked another big achievement for the team.
