It is the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the devotees across the world are celebrating this big occasion with a lot of zeal and fervour. This auspicious day is the day to remember the teaching of the first Guru of Sikhism. The Gurudwaras are all decked up and devotees from all walks of life are seen seeking blessings on this holy day. Even Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Sonakshi Sinha, Maniesh Paul, Rishi Kapoor etc didn’t lack behind in celebrating this auspicious day and extended wishes to the fans on social media.

Among the first one to wish the fans was megastar Amitabh Bachchan who shared the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji on his Twitter account. He also posted a picture of a decked up Golden Temple and wrote, “Greetings on this auspicious day of the 550th Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji..” In another post, Big B posted a quote from Guru Granth Sahib Ji which read as, “SatGuru Nanak Pargateya Mitti Dund Jag Chanan Hoya!” On the other hand, Rishi Kapoor, who recently won his battle with cancer, shared stills of himself from his Patiala House wherein he played the role of a Sikh. Besides, he also shared a picture from his visit to Shri Harmandir Sahib. The veteran actor captioned the images as “On the auspicious occasion of Guru Pita Shree Guru Nanak Devji’s 550th birth anniversary. Prakash Purab di lakh lakh wadhaiyan!”

Sonakshi Sinha also shared a picture Guru Nanak Dev Ji on her social media account and wished her fans on the Prakash Parv. Vicky Kaushal posted a picture of himself seeking blessing at the Golden Temple and wrote, “Gurupurab diyaan lakh lakh vadhaaiyaan”. Indian cricketer Virat Kohli also greeted his fans on the holy occasion with a tweet that read as, “Happy Gurupurab to everyone.” Several other celebs like Dia Mirza, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Mahesh Bhatt, Harshdeep Kaur, Kirron Kher, Kapil Sharma also wished the fans on the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
