Alia Bhatt has not only been consistent with her performances but also with her box office numbers. Except for Shaandaar, Alia has more or less been delivery box office successes. Recently, in an interview, Alia opened up how she overcame Shaandaar debacle which came as a surprise to her.

"Touch wood, 90 per cent of my films fared well at the box office. But there has been one failure, and because of that failure, I am more calm. For some strange reason Shaandaar didn't work at the box office. I was heartbroken. I could not believe it," said Alia.

She further revealed the only person she turned to during this period. "I turned to my father. He was the only person I was speaking to and then I went on a holiday solo to mourn the loss," she added.

"I felt terrible, but after that I felt ho gaya. The bandage has been ripped. I have faced my first failure, and I will be ready for whatever comes. Getting up after the failure is very different. My father sent me this poster with Frank Sinatra's quote 'The best revenge is massive success,' Alia asserted.

Alia recently completed five years in the industry. She made her Bollywood debut with Student Of The Year alongside Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra

On the work front, Alia completed the shooting of the film Raazi. The film stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role along with her. Directed by Meghna Gulzar it is based on Harinder Sikka's best-selling novel Calling Sehmat. Raazi is slated to release on May 11, 2018.

She will be working with Ranveer Singh in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boys. Gully Boys is a biopic inspired by the lives of two rappers Vivian Fernandes aka Divine and Naved Shaikh aka Naezy.

The Highway actress will start shooting for Gully Boys early in January.
