Deepika Padukone will next be seen with Irrfan Khan in Vishal Bhardwaj's next production venture which will be helmed by Honey Trehan. The film is an adaptation of Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. The book is based on the life and times of Ashraf Khan who is popularly known as Sapna Didi.
However, as reported by a leading tabloid, the film that was supposed to go on floors in January 2018 is now delayed.
A source informed that the Piku actress is "emotionally affected" by all the death threats she is receiving. The source told the tabloid, "Deepika wishes to take a break before returning to the set. She wants to be mentally prepared for the film."
Bhardwaj's publicist confirmed the news that the film will get rolled in March 2018.
The source also added, "To add to the delay, Bhardwaj has decided to revisit the script. He wants to ensure that he has everything in place before they role."
Also, the Chennai Express actress also has to get trained to wield and shoot a gun.
On the other hand, Bhardwaj's publicist said that they never announced that the film will go on floors in January 2018.
Irrfan Khan is quite excited to team up with Deepika again after Piku (2015). In an interview with a leading news agency, the actor was all praise for her. He said, "I will always be excited to work with Deepika. I am all the more excited this time (as to) how our chemistry (will) work. In this film, I am not (portraying) a decent or civilised man, so our equation in this film is completely (different from 'Piku')."
